The dark grey bars with confidence intervals represent the estimated incidence of heart disease from the National Population Health Survey. The light grey bars represent the estimated incidence of heart disease from our model. All the predicted values were within the 95% CIs of the observed incidence. The average difference between the predicted values and the observed incidence were less than 10%
